Our client is well established full-service auction, appraisal, inventory liquidation, and reverse logistics firm specializing in assisting both distressed and healthy companies manage surplus assets by providing a complete asset disposition strategy. They offer their clients all of the expert quality services they would expect from one of the larger firms, with the flexibility and attention to detail of a boutique size firm. Current clients include local, regional and top national banks as well as non bank lenders, private equity firms, restructuring and turnaround professionals around the country.
Due to the firm's growth, they are looking to attract a senior asset based lending audit professional to help grow its newly formed practice to leverage and compliment the current client base and relationships.
This newly created role will work with clients executive, business development, and management teams to build this practice from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, desire to build and train a team, and ability to expand its relationships with current clients while also developing new ones in this exciting role.

This position will oversee all field exam activities, be accountable for product delivery and quality, drive hiring and team development, play an instrumental role in business development activities, and have full responsibility for this line of business’s P&L.
More specifically, duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
Work with business development team to sell and market field exams
Attend in person and online meetings with existing and new clients to discuss our credentials and initiate applicable vendor approval processes
Assist management team in completing required steps in vendor approval processes
Attend local and national industry events to generate awareness around our new service in the market
Create document templates to support field exam workflow
Work with clients to obtain information necessary to perform field exams and conduct applicable testing
Recommend staffing needs to support continued growth of the practice
Hire and train staff as needed, manage workflow and staff scheduling
Review field exam staff work product
Work with clients to review field examination results along with answer any questions that may arise

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Experience managing employees
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), Microsoft Outlook, and general skills with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software
10-15 years of ABL field exam experience required
CPA, CTP or CFE certifications are preferred
LOCATION: Client maintains its headquarters in the Chicago area, however we will consider candidates who work remotely.
Travel is required.

Our client is looking for a Vice President or Senior Vice President level Business Development professional in the Midwest to source, develop and pre-qualify new business opportunities. Territory can be limited to a metropolitan area or several states and client will allow the business development officer to follow a deal anywhere in the US.

The Business Development Officer is responsible for initiating new business opportunities within the bank and expanding client relationships. This role focuses on generating and closing Asset Based Lending opportunities while collaborating with internal partners to cross-sell various bank products and services. The BDO will develop key relationships with Centers of Influence such as investment bankers, lawyers, and private equity sponsors, ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory guidelines.

Serves as the primary liaison between company and client. Responsible for the overall relationship and performance of the client.
Works with Operations Analyst on collateral and borrowing base issues.
Ensures the borrowing base forms are accurate and customized to the terms of the loan agreement and the needs of the borrower.
Addresses any reporting changes or other issues directly with the client.
Ensures the client is in compliance with the loan agreement at all times.
Reporting compliance
Reviews and approves all borrowing bases and funding requests.
In conjunction with the Operations Analyst, review each borrowing base for accuracy and reasonableness.
Ensures collateral and loan balances are accurate in the loan system.
Ensures all appraisal and field exams are completed and satisfactory.
Orders and ensures all appraisals and field exams are completed in accordance with loan agreements requirements.
Reviews each report and ensures loan system is updated accordingly.
Addresses concerns and deficiencies identified in the reports with the client.
Prepares and presents all credit memos and monthly Portfolio Management Reports (“PMR”).
Prepares and presents monthly PMR’s.
Completes credit memos for amendments and changes to the loan agreement for existing clients.
Closes new clients in conjunction with Underwriting.
Ensures that the loan agreement is documented in accordance with the approval.
Schedules and coordinates pre-funding exam with client and field exam firm.
Coordinate and lead pre-funding meetings at least 24 hours prior to initial funding.
Underwrites potential new clients in accordance with underwriting policy and procedures when necessary.
